When do tulips bloom in the Netherlands?
Tulip fields in the Netherlands are seasonal. There are typically tulip fields from late March to early May, but specific dates can vary by 3 weeks every year. This is dependant on weather throughout the winter. The warmer the winter, the earlier tulips bloom.
If tulips have not yet started blooming during your shoot date, there are daffodil and hyacinth fields in the same region as tulip fields where we can do our shoot.

Where will our tulip photoshoot take place?
These rates are only for photoshoots that occur outdoors at tulip fields in Lisse and Hillegom. We typically shoot at The Tulip Barn in Hillegom. However, tulip farmers rotate the location of their fields every few years, so we will discuss and confirm the location before our shoot.

Can I do a tulip photoshoot at the Keukenhof?
If you would like to shoot at the Keukenhof, we will request an extra charge for entrance tickets for the photographer(s)/videographer(s) plus parking or official Keukenhof bus transfer. Keep in mind that the Keukenhof is extremely busy all season and photoshoots without other people must take place as soon as the garden opens in the morning or right before closing time.

Do I need to pay a deposit to book a tulip photoshoot with you?
Tulip season is very short and we often receive multiple requests for the same time slots. Therefore, we ask for a 20% non-refundable deposit of your total booking to reserve your spot. The deposit will be deducted from your final payment.

What happens if I’m running late?
We will wait 10 minutes then begin counting your booked time. If we have back-to-back shoots, we will inform you if you are late and will not be able to adjust your time slot.

How many photos will I get from the shoot?
You will receive all photos from our shoot with light color correction in preview size (.jpg format, 800x1200px, 72dpi) and can select your favorite for editing. The number of preview and edited photos you will receive depends on the package you book and is indicated under each package.

How long will it take to receive my edited photos?
The editing time indicated on each photoshoot package is calculated from the day we receive your photo selections. If we receive your photo selections more than 1 month after your shoot, we will not be able to edit your photos.

What kind of photo editing do you do?
The photo retouching included in regular packages covers color correction, perspective, cropping, and straightening only. Advanced retouching such as skin correction and removal of photobombers can be discussed if needed.

How many photographers will come to my photoshoot?
All photoshoots are with one photographer unless you book a 2nd shooter.

What if it rains during my photoshoot?
Weather in the Netherlands can be unpredictable! If there is a light rain, we’ll provide clear umbrellas. If there is heavy rain, we’ll reschedule.
